Io navigatore di Dani SORDO. Da PAURA 😱 | Hyundai i20 N WRC+ 2023

Rallying is undoubtedly one of the most popular motorsports among car enthusiasts. Partly because the cars competing in the various categories are remarkably similar—at least aesthetically—to their mass-produced counterparts on the streets... and partly because of what the cars are capable of on the most challenging terrains, and the drivers who push them to the limit in every condition. Hyundai Motorsport achieved a one-two finish in the 2023 WRC Rally of Sardinia, taking first and second place. To celebrate, they invited us to experience what it feels like to drive an i20 N WRC+ racing car. The "WRC Plus," the closest predecessor to the current Rally1 hybrids, does not yet have a plug-in electric propulsion system and therefore relies entirely on the 1.6L turbocharged four-cylinder in-line gasoline internal combustion engine, capable of delivering 380 hp. The transmission is a sequential, electro-hydraulic six-speed gearbox with steering wheel-mounted paddles, and there's also an electronic center differential that—unlike current Rally 1s—can distribute torque independently between the two axles instead of a 50:50 ratio. Behind the wheel is none other than Daniel Sordo, a factory driver for Hyundai Motorsport in the top WRC category, who showed me what this car is capable of on gravel. Seeing is believing... #Hyundai #WRC
