Frying Up Some Copycat Chick-Fil-A Thighs (Ours is Better!)

Cooking up some nice chicken thighs tonight with our copycat Chick-Fil-A recipe! This one is a beloved dish in our house and the kids gobble this up almost as soon as it cools down! We did a simple buttermilk & pickle brine with 1 cup buttermilk and 1 cup of dill pickle juice along with 1 tsp sugar and 1 tsp garlic powder. We pounded the thighs flat with a mallet the night before and let them soak in the brine about 22-24 hours before we fried them up in about 1/3 corn oil to 2/3 vegetable oil.
