A day full of extreme contrasts and pure excitement just before departure! Welcome to Poland here on JANNIK’S TRAVEL WORLD. 🌍 Today we dock in the port of Gdynia with the AIDAmar – and I have to be honest: the industrial port is anything but beautiful. During my spontaneous attempt this morning to explore the area on foot, I quickly realize: without preparation, you're out of luck! After a somewhat chaotic breakfast – the Bella Donna restaurant was so packed that I had to take my food over to the brewery – and an extensive tour of the ship, the real highlight begins this afternoon: my very first visit to Poland! An AIDA excursion takes us to Gdansk, a bus ride of just under an hour. And what can I say? I'm absolutely speechless! With fantastic weather and beautiful light, the old town completely enchants me. I'll show you the impressive, colorful facades, and we'll stroll along the Motława River, where the excursion boats are moored. An incredibly beautiful place! Things got really dicey on the way back: At exactly 5:30 p.m., it was "All aboard!" – and at that precise minute, our bus pulled into the terminal!
