Photographing Birds on Bodmin Moor | Surprise Sightings & Golden Hour Magic

What started out as a casual wander in the sunshine turned into an unforgettable bird photography session on Bodmin Moor. I originally set out just hoping to spot a wheatear or maybe hear an early cuckoo—but what I ended up with was so much more! In this video, I take you with me on a golden hour walk across the moor, capturing some stunning moments with wildlife along the way. From surprise encounters with yellowhammers to close-up views of linnets and stonechats, it turned into one of those magical evenings where everything just came together. 📷 Species spotted: Wheatear (including two males!) Linnet Stonechat Possibly a Black Redstart The light was absolutely perfect by the end of the walk, and I managed to get some of my best shots yet—especially of yellowhammers, which I've never photographed properly before.
