Before the film, Jim and Greg also presented this seldom heard interview between a young Jim DeRogatis and his music critic icon, Lester Bangs. Bangs was famously portrayed by actor Philip Seymour Hoffman in 'Almost Famous' and this recorded interview was used extensively by Hoffman to prepare for the role.
