ለኢትዮጵያ የተፈጠረው ታላቅ እድል! የግብፅ ተፅዕኖ በአረቡ ዓለም ላይ አበቃ? | A Major Opportunity for Ethiopia!

በዛሬው የልዩ ጥንቅር ፕሮግራማችን የኢንቲትዩት ኦፍ ፎርየን አፌርስ 'የግብፅ በአረብ ዓለም ላይ ያላት ተፅዕኖ መዳከም እና ለኢትዮጵያ የተፈጠረው ስትራቴጂካዊ ዕድል' በሚል ያስነበበውን ሰፋ ያለ ፅሑፍን መሰረት በማድረግ ቆይታ እናደርጋለን። ኢንስቲትዩቱ በፅሑፉ ቀደም ሲል ግብፅ የራሷን ብሔራዊ ጥቅሞች (በተለይ የናይል ወንዝን ጉዳይ) እንደ አጠቃላይ የአረብ ዓለም የጋራ አጀንዳና ስጋት አድርጋ የማቅረብ ከፍተኛ አቅም ነበራት። ይሁን እንጂ አሁን ላይ ይሄ የፓን-አረብ (Pan-Arab) ብሔረተኝነት አስተሳሰብ እየተዳከመ በመምጣቱ ግብፅ በኢትዮጵያ ላይ የአረብ አገራትን በቀላሉ የማሰለፍ አቅሟ ስለመቀነሱ ያትታል። ለምን የምንመለከተው ጉዳይ ይሆናል። ከዚህ በተጨማሪ እንደ ሳውዲ አረቢያ፣ የተባበሩት አረብ ኤምሬትስ እና ኳታር ያሉ የአረብ ባህረ ሰላጤ አገራት በኢትዮጵያና በአካባቢው ያላቸውን ፖሊሲ የሚቀርጹት በራሳቸው የኢኮኖሚ፣ የኢንቨስትመንት፣ የወደብ እና የጸጥታ ጥቅም ላይ በመመስረት እንጂ የግብፅን ፍላጎት በጭፍኑ በመከተል ባለመሆኑ ምክንያት የቀደመው የግብፅ የበላይነት እንዲቀንስ ካደረጉት ምክንያቶች መካከል ተቀምጧል። በሌላ በኩል ግብፅ የህዳሴ ግድብ የአረብ አገራት ዲፕሎማሲያዊ አጀንዳ ለማድረግ ብትሞክርም፣ ኢትዮጵያ ግድቡን አጠናቃ መመረቋ በአካባቢው ላይ አዲስ እውነታን ፈጥሯል። ይህም ዲፕሎማሲያዊ መግለጫዎች ብቻ የኢትዮጵያን ልማት ሊያስቆሙ እንደማይችሉ አሳይቷል። ከዚህ በተጨማሪ፣ የቀይ ባህር ጂኦፖለቲካ፣ ለኢትዮጵያ የተፈጠረው ስትራቴጂካዊ ዕድል የሚሉ ጉዳዮችም እያነሳን ቆይታ የምናደርግ ይሆናል አብራችሁን በመቆየት እንድትከታተሉኝ እጋብዛለው። መልካም ቆይታ! In today's special compilation program, we will be hosting a discussion based on a comprehensive article published by the Institute of Foreign Affairs titled, 'Egypt's Declining Influence in the Arab World and the Strategic Opportunity Created for Ethiopia.' In its article, the Institute notes that Egypt previously possessed a high capacity to present its own national interests—particularly the issue of the Nile River—as a collective agenda and concern for the Arab world as a whole. However, as this concept of Pan-Arab nationalism is currently weakening, the article explains that Egypt's ability to easily mobilize Arab nations against Ethiopia has diminished. We will look into why this is the case. In addition to this, Arab Gulf states such as Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Qatar shape their policies toward Ethiopia and the region based on their own economic, investment, port, and security interests, rather than blindly following Egypt's desires. This is highlighted as one of the key reasons behind the decline of Egypt's former dominance. On the other hand, although Egypt attempted to make the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD) an Arab diplomatic agenda, Ethiopia's successful completion and inauguration of the dam has created a new reality on the ground. This has demonstrated that diplomatic statements alone cannot halt Ethiopia's development.
