Did you know there's a community in The Gambia called Ghana Town In this documentary, I visit a community established in 1960s by Ghanaian fishermen who originally set out for Senegal but eventually settled in The Gambia through the Kako (salted dried fish) trade. Over the decades, the community has grown into a symbol of peaceful coexistence between Ghanaians and Gambians. Many residents were born in The Gambia, have never visited Ghana, and proudly identify as Gambians while still embracing their Ghanaian heritage.
