According to the most recent official notices: GTBoard says all land within the Tourism Development Area is governed under the **Gambia Tourism Board Act, 2011**, and businesses must have both legal land authorization and tourism operating licences. Beach bars and restaurants operating without authorization have been instructed to: regularize their occupation of the land, obtain the required licences, and comply with planning and environmental regulations.
