Norfolk & Western 611 - The Summer of Steam

On July 4, 2026, I decided to drive down to Louisa, Virginia to check out the Virginia Scenic's Summer of Steam. This summer's trains were led by the famous Norfolk & Western #611! 611 wore a special wrap this year to commemorate the America 250 events, with 10 stars along the side, representing Virginia becoming the 10th US state. The tender sported the usual N&W lettering with a 250 logo for America's 250th birthday. It was made extra special by having the opportunity to chase 611 on the 250th birthday of the US. Enjoy!
