In this divine discourse, Siddhaguru Sri Ramanananda Maharshi explains the glory of the 35th Mahakalavana Shiva Linga — Indreshwara Shiva Linga. This sacred Shiva Linga was worshipped by Lord Indra during a time of great crisis. According to the sacred story, Tvasta Prajapati’s son Kushadhwaja was killed by Indra. Angered by this, Tvasta Prajapati performed a powerful tantric fire ritual and created the mighty demon Vritrasura to defeat Indra. Vritrasura attacked the gods, defeated them, and even bound Indra. At that moment, Brihaspati, the guru of the gods, advised Indra to go to Mahakalavana and worship the divine Shiva Linga located to the south of Khandeshwara Shiva Linga. Indra went there, worshipped Lord Shiva with devotion, and praised Mahadeva as the source of all creation, protection, dissolution, and divine powers. By the grace of Maharudra, Indra regained strength, defeated Vritrasura, and restored the positions of the gods. Since this Shiva Linga was worshipped by Indra, it became famous as Indreshwara Shiva Linga.
