This video explains and demonstrates the set up and provides a care sheet for creating and maintaining a culture of the two popular species of fruit flies that are regularly available for the small animal hobbies, Drosophila melanogaster and Drosophila hydei. Along with crickets these are the most important feeders in the pet bug and small animal hobbies. This video is long overdue as I've been answering questions about cultures of these for decades.
