DIY fruit fly media v.s. commercial fruit fly media

Will DIY fruit fly media produce fruit flies just as well as the commercial brands of fruit fly media? That's what I wanted to find out, so I decided to do an experiment. In this video I also show you step by step how to prepare your own homemade fruit fly media and set up a culture for breeding fruit flies. If you have dart frogs or are thinking about getting into dart frogs this is a crucially important thing to know how to do, because fruit flies are about the only thing you can feed to a dart frog and most pet stores don't carry them. So you have to know how to breed the fruit flies for yourself.
