This restaurant has been in operation for over 24 years and is already a popular spot among Bongcheon-dong residents. I heard that the number of customers has increased significantly since YouTuber Tzuyang visited, so I was worried that I might not be able to film, so I arrived early, right at 7:00 AM, as the first customer. Gijeolchopungwang Sundae's sundae is basically makchang sundae. The makchang was chewy, not tough, and tender, filled with juicy beef. The porky smell was barely noticeable, and the sauce, made with soy sauce and perilla seed powder, was just the thing. The sundae was truly huge, just like the name suggests. The sundae soup was basically spicy sundae soup topped with perilla seed powder. It was a bone haejangguk or gamjatang-style soup with huge chunks of makchang sundae and meat. I also tried the clear sundae soup, and it was perfectly seasoned. Both were delicious. The assorted sundae comes with makchang sundae, head meat, and pork intestines. Ordering just one of these was a generous and filling meal that went down well with the drinks. The sundae set included mini-sized sundae soup and assorted sundae, allowing me to enjoy a variety of dishes at a reasonable price. This sundae soup restaurant was particularly appealing for its rich broth, packed with makchang sundae, head meat, and meat. Stopping by for a glass of makgeolli after hiking Gwanaksan Mountain is a treat!
