EdgeOS WAN_LOCAL Rules
In this third and final (maybe not final) video on the types of default rules on the EdgeRouter we look at the WAN_LOCAL rules. When you configure WAN_LOCAL rules the interface used is your WAN interface and the direction is local, meaning that the traffic is destined for a service on your router, not inside the network itself. If you are going to open outside access to SSH, SNMP, HTTPS, or ANY thing sensitive make sure you have it locked down to source IPs. Never use ubnt/ubnt for your username and password! Subscribe!
