EdgeOS - EdgeRouter - Auto Firewall Demo
In the first video of many about firewall rules and policies, let's look at a feature of the EdgeRouter EdgeOS operating system that has been known to cause sparks to fly in fire-walling discussions: Auto Firewall. When doing port forwarding you can have the EdgeRouter do all the heavy lifting of configuring firewall rules and NAT statements, but they are mysteriously absent in the GUI from the firewall rule and NAT statement views. The CLI config shows what little there is to port forwarding. Port forwarding automagic has its use cases for sure. Come back for the next video that compares the config after we manually create the firewall and NAT statements. Please give a thumbs-up! Subscribe! Comment and share!
