Secret Backcountry Cabin in the Desert! (Wasteland Spotlight)

In this spotlight I am showcasing one of the many somewhat secret backcountry cabins that dot the wilderness of the American Desert Southwest. Not quite as abandoned as it may seem, this cabin is one of the few that is in excellent condition and ready to be lived in once again. This is Riley's Camp, once the home to John Brembry Riley, a miner who was well known for establishing some of the most iconic mines of the Mojave Desert region. Located in a seldom traveled stretch of California desert, the camp and the cabin can be used by travelers and explorers as a shelter and base of operations during their expedition. For those interested in the rules of backcountry cabin use, I have prepared the following page with information: https://wastelandbywednesday.com/expl... Backcountry cabins like this one are an important feature that any prepper should get to know about their Area of Operations, and they can serve as an important resource in a post-collapse world. knowing where these types of places are will be valuable knowledge after SHTF. Exploring one's AO is an important part of getting you and your family prepared to face the collapse of civilization, and in the meantime, such exploration of abandoned and forgotten places can be great fun. I hope you enjoy this trip one of my favorite backcountry cabins, Riley's Camp! 👍 Like, Comment, and Subscribe to support the channel and help spread The word!
