Roshan Ara Begum sings Piya Bin Nahin Aawat Chaen for Khurshid Anwar's "Ahang-e-Khusravi"

From Khwaja Khurshid Anwar's pioneering project anthologizing and preserving the classical music tradition of Pakistan, the ragas of the Indo-Pakistan subcontinent and distinctive representations of the gharanas (schools or specialized styles) as practiced by Pakistan's leading exponents of the art. This classical gem (an exposition of Raga Jhinjhoti in Khamaj Thaat/musical scale from the Kirana Gharana), is sung by the legendary Roshan Ara Begum, among the most accomplished classical singers from the subcontinent. A total of 30 long-playing records were produced for this enterprise, all under the title "Ahang-e-Khusravi," 20 illustrating the various Gharanas, and 10 exemplifying an aggregate of 99 Ragas with brief introductions to each by the Music Maestro, Khurshid Anwar himself.
