To answer these questions, and many more, we talk to Tamara Davis, an acclaimed director who has worked on massive movies like “Half Baked,” “CB4,” and “Billy Madison.” Davis walks us through her career, from her beginnings as a music video director, to her directing for TV shows like “Dead to Me,” “High School Musical: The Musical: The Series,” and “Empire.” FILMMAKING TIPS Davis also gives filmmaking tips that only an industry veteran would know. She discusses the ideal collaboration process with assistant directors, directors of photography, production designers and more. She also details the steps she takes on set to make sure her team makes its day, whether it be for a film or TV show.
