After a busy week of sightseeing in Tokyo, we're in Arashiyama for the night to stay at the Togetsutei ryokan. I splurged on a room with a hinoki bathtub! I put on a yukata for the first time, and the belt did not loosen and allow the robe to fall apart at the worst possible public moment. We attended a kaiseki in which we were handed many dishes we could not identify, and took a dip in the private onsen. We also slept on traditional futons for the first time.
