1 Minute skatepark guide Red Bull Skatepark Bangkok Thailand

1 Minute skatepark guide Red Bull Skatepark Bangkok Thailand If you are ever in Bangkok, pack your skates or bring your skateboard because this skatepark is worth a visit. Sorry to the BMX and Scooter riders because they aren’t allowed here for some reason. The first thing that I need to get off my chest is, this place is totally free. Yes you heard me! Free as a Mo Fo!! As you can see, it’s totally under cover and it’s open at night time with lights!! So this skatepark is always waiting for you to skate. The massive quarter pipe at the top of the park is about 5 foot and smooth with lovely coping that sticks out, just enough. It’s meters and meters long and spans almost the entire width of the park. It has a kink in the middle and also where the logo is, it has a bank in the middle. The concrete is smooth and a little bit slippery. But you get used to it. Around the park you’ll find lots of ledges and it has a cool wall ride, it’s actually really steep and difficult to get high because of the tightness of the transition. But fun to try and not die! The manny pad with a long p-rail is great to practice on and do some technical combos on. Also a nice down rail that is about knee height and down a set of about 5 steps. It has ledges on either side of it. This forms part of a bank that has a good launch for airing and doing a few little spins! There is a 45 degree wedge with metal edging up on the rear wall that was brutal to skate until you become one with it and don’t fall over. It has a cool bump in the middle of it too. In the far corner, there’s a tiny quarter pipe that is used to generate more speed for the big arse quarter pipe. And, you will need every bit of speed you can get, if you want to grind the entire thing. We also have a mellow kink rail that is the mellowest kink I’ve ever skated. Cool rail and good for skating up and down! Follow that and there’s a series of ledges with a gap and into the quarter pipe. This skatepark has a great vibe to it and is a lot of fun. They have clean toilets and it’s in the middle of a beautiful park and is a great escape from the craziness that is Bangkok! I give this skatepark 5.5 Red bulls out of the six pack (the Thailand versions of course!!)
