Knife Making - Hydraulic Press for knife Maker: [EN] Tired of getting tendinitis from hitting the sledgehammer to forge! so I took matters into my own hands. In this video I make myself a hydraulic cutler's press with little means. Scrap iron, a grinder, a welding machine and you're done... don't do it again at home, everything was done by feeling! I mounted the 2.2 kw motor in single phase with a capacitor I lose 30% of its power...as I don't have three phase in my workshop I hesitate between a 380/220v drive or changing the motor to a single phase . I am so satisfied with my knife maker hydraulic press Budget : 100euros second-hand hydraulic unit 200euros second-hand hydraulic cylinder Distributor, hose and pressure gauge 400euros Used scrap 150euros [FR] Ras le bol de me faire des tendinites à force de taper à la masse pour forger ! alors j’ai pris les choses en main 😊 Dans cette vidéo je me fabrique une presse hydraulique de coutelier avec peu de moyen. De la ferraille une disqueuse, un poste a l’arc et le tour est joué… Ne refaite pas ça chez vous tout a été fait au feeling !
