In this video, I show you how to make fermented cauliflower with carrots, red onion, and warming spices. The fermentation process creates natural probiotics that support your gut flora and aid your digestion. The combination of turmeric, cinnamon, paprika, and possibly chili gives this ferment a delicious spicy flavor and additional health benefits. Fermenting is a simple and natural way to preserve vegetables longer and make them more nutritious at the same time. 🥦 Ingredients 1 cauliflower carrots 1 red onion 1 lemon Brine 1 liter water 20 grams salt Spices 1 teaspoon cinnamon 1 teaspoon turmeric 1 teaspoon paprika 1 teaspoon chili powder (optional) 🫙 Directions Cut the cauliflower into small florets. Cut the carrots into slices or strips. Cut the red onion into rings. Cut the lemon into slices. Place all the vegetables in a clean glass jar. Dissolve the salt in the water to make the brine. Stir the spices into the brine. Pour the brine over the vegetables until everything is completely submerged. Place a weight to keep the vegetables submerged. Let ferment at room temperature for about 1 week.
