Virginia Creeper Trail - Bridge 29 - June 20 2026

Trestle 29 on the Virginia Creeper Trail was destroyed by Hurricane Helene in late 2024. The Kiewit Corporation is rebuilding all destroyed trestles and bridges, and this video shows one of their techniques, building concrete structures on opposite sides of the creek to place a single-span bridge. All flights take off and land on private or publicly-owned property or with permit. In some cases spotters are utilized.
