Starting from San Donà di Piave, immediately following the banks of the Piave River, one of the most picturesque and flowing stretches of water in the area. The ride unfolds on dirt roads and compact dirt tracks, ideal for gravel riding, immersed in greenery and far from traffic, accompanied by the river's flow all the way to its mouth. 🌊 Upon reaching Cortellazzo, the Piave River meets the Adriatic Sea and the landscape changes: salty air, wide open spaces, and coastal views. From here, the route continues along well-maintained bike paths, passing through Eraclea Mare and Porto Santa Margherita, until reaching the splendid Caorle, with its colorful historic center and waterfront. 🏠 From Caorle, you enter the heart of the lagoon along the Via dei Casoni, an iconic stretch that runs alongside canals and sandbanks and leads to the fishermen's huts: ancient buildings made of wood and reeds, a symbol of lagoon tradition. A unique, quiet, and nature-filled environment, perfect for a slow and contemplative ride. 🌿 The return journey follows the Gira Livenza, along embankments and reclaimed roads that cross the Veneto countryside. A flat and relaxing stretch that closes the loop, gradually returning to San Donà di Piave, once again following the Piave River, completing a varied and scenic ride.
