Koningsdag in Bennekom: feest voor jong en oud!

King's Day was once again celebrated in full swing in Bennekom on Monday, April 27. As tradition dictates, the day began with the Wilhelmus, played by OBK, while the flag was ceremonially hoisted by Scouting Bennekom. An atmospheric start to a day full of fun! Festive parade through the village The youngest residents then attracted all the attention with their beautifully decorated bicycles and go-karts. Together with their parents, they rode behind OBK through the village street, creating a cheerful and colorful parade. Classic cars steal the show After the children's parade, it was time for enthusiasts of special vehicles. A procession of beautiful vintage cars drove through the Bennekom area. Many enthusiastic spectators lined the route to admire these unique cars. Upon their return, the classic vehicles were displayed in the town center, where visitors could view them up close. There was plenty of fun for the children afterwards: a magician provided a sense of wonder and there was a dazzling performance by Dance Studio Bennekom. There was no shortage of entertainment! The traditional Flea Market and the King's Market in the village street also attracted many visitors. Strolling past stalls, scoring bargains, and enjoying the atmosphere: it was all part of the experience. To ensure the continued organization of this wonderful festival in the future, the organizers are looking for a new chairperson. This is a great opportunity to contribute to this special village celebration!
