This body style combines a sporty look with the utility that a hatchback affords you with the increased cargo room. The 2013 Kia Forte SX model is the top of the line trim level that comes standard with all the goodies and the larger displacement engine. On the outside the SX trim gets you larger 17-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights and a Sport-Tuned Suspension just to name a few. On the inside the SX comes standard with Sport Cloth Seats, a leather wrapped steering wheel, and medal pedals. The 2013 Kia Forte SX 5-door hatchback has a base price of $19,800. Hatchbacks are one of the more polarizing cars for sale in America. Enthusiasts love them because they make sense after all they are very popular in Europe. But here in the U.S., not so much? The most popular hatchback in the America is the Toyota Prius which is more known as a hybrid than a hatchback. What we have here is the Kia Forte 5-door which is one of the most affordable hatchbacks at a starting price of around $18,300. The car looks good and has a very European flair to it. But Kia has fallen a little short when compared to its key hatchback competitors the Volkswagen Golf and the Mazda3. What separates a hatchback from a sedan is pretty obvious. You have got a more practical cargo area rather than a traditional trunk. The second row seats are a 60/40 split which makes things very practical. For people who are not looking for the larger crossover should look into smaller compact hatchbacks like the Forte 5-door. Kia has really simplified the buying matrix for the 2013 Forte hatchback. There are only 2 models: the EX and the SX. The EX has the smaller 2.0 liter engine that makes 156 horsepower and gets 26 MPG in the city and 36 MPG on the highway. The SX model has the larger more sporty 2.4 liter engine that produces 173 horsepower and 168 lb-ft. of torque while getting 23 MPG in the city and 32 MPG on the highway. Both engines are mated to a 6-speed automatic but it's the SX trim that gets steering wheel mounted paddle shifters. Kia separates themselves from the competition by offering a great 10 year/100 mile powertrain warranty. This car just oozes practicality. It is very versatile and affordable. The fuel economy figures are also very respectable. See More Car Videos http://www.autobytel.com/car-videos/?...
