What Did Young Bobby Hutcherson Sound Like?

Check out my 'Vibes History' spotify playlist: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/3Kw... #vibraphone #jazzlegends #jazzhistory I found myself really fascinated by digging up Bobby Hutcherson's earliest recordings. He burst onto the scene in Los Angeles in 1960, when he was only 19 years old. From 1960-1963 he recorded a number of records as a sideman. before he finally appeared on Blue Note, with Jackie McLeans 'One Step Beyond' in 1963. In this video I wanted to share with you some of the absolutely killer vibraphone playing he recorded in his PRE-BLUE NOTE career. I hope you enjoy! Thank you for watching!
