MATCHBOX Restoration Major Pack M1 BP Auto Tanker 1960

When I first saw this model I thought it was made up by Matchbox and did not actually exist. But I was wrong this was a real futuristic tanker design that actually went in to production. Unusual for it's time I guess it featured cutting edge design features of the 60's including a front split door for the driver and passenger to climb aboard. This model took me ages to finish as I had to strip it back to the metal when I was close to finishing. Not one of my best but still a 'must have' for any Matchbox car collector. Out of interest these models also featured in an episode of 'Thunderbirds'. They were seen on the airfield in the episode named 'Fire Flash'.
