It was a favourite with the 19th century Viajeros Romanticos (romantic travellers) – artists and writers like Orson Welles, Alexander Dumas and Ernest Hemingway who searched for inspiration in Europe’s most unspoilt destinations. No doubt Ronda is a must visit city when in Andalusia, being so close to Seville or Málaga (1,5h-2h drive).
