When Christ intervenes, oppression is overcome, what seemed finished rises up, and what was being destroyed is transformed into a living testimony of the grace and authority of the Lord. Finally, the message turns to the disciples and, by extension, to the church, teaching that not every spiritual victory happens without preparation. The preacher stresses that there are struggles that require a life of consecration, intimacy with God, prayer, and fasting. The great lesson, therefore, is not only that Jesus has the power to overcome, but that His people need to walk in communion with Him to remain steadfast in life's battles. The conclusion is clear, solemn, and encouraging: whoever desires to overcome needs to be with Jesus, because where He enters, evil retreats, faith is strengthened, and victory, in God's time and will, becomes a certainty.
