Merry Widow Waltz | An Evening's Serenade: Memories Of Titanic | The White Star Line Quintet

“Merry Widow Waltz”, composed by Franz Lehár (Released in 1905), performed by The White Star Line Quintet from the album An Evening's Serenade: Memories Of Titanic by HFX Studios. This performance was recorded using the surviving à la carte Restaurant Reception Room piano from RMS Olympic, Titanic's sister ship. The instrument heard in this recording once stood aboard RMS Olympic, where it formed part of the musical life of the White Star Line’s transatlantic service during the great age of ocean liners. Through these performances, The White Star Line Quintet seeks to preserve and celebrate the music, atmosphere, and elegance of the Edwardian trans-Atlantic world. The White Star Line Quintet and the RMS Olympic Steinway Association are currently working to purchase, preserve, and publicly display this historic instrument for future generations. All Thanks, Super Chats, and channel support connected to this video will directly support the ongoing preservation effort and fundraising campaign for the piano. "An Evening's Serenade: Memories Of Titanic" is available now on major streaming platforms. You can also hear these releases in podcast format here on The Steam & Splendor Network.
