Is it worth visiting Duszniki-Zdrój when it's dark, cold, and dreary? We decided to find out! In this episode, we take you on a journey through one of the oldest spa towns in the Sudetes. We saw the operation of the famous Jan Kazimierz sanatorium, where history meets modern hotel offerings. We visited the Spa Park to sample the mineral waters in the historic pump room – we checked if Pieniawa Chopina really tastes as good as they say! We also had some challenges. We went for a walk to the Pod Muflonem mountain hut – the trail, although short, proved quite demanding in winter due to the icy slopes. We visited the extraordinary Museum of Papermaking, where, under the guidance of Izabela Miczkowska, we learned how paper is made from wasp nests and rags, and even made some sheets ourselves! For thrill-seekers, we prepared a short urbex tour in an abandoned villa, and for ski enthusiasts – a visit to the winter heart of the region, Zieleniec. Duszniki-Zdrój has a unique atmosphere year-round, although winter walks require good shoes and... crampons!
