New details in case of missing deaf mom; 97 cars found in Chicago River | Missing

This week, our "Missing" series is looking at the case of Lonene Rogers. The young, deaf mother went missing back in January 1981, when her daughter was only 5. While her case has gone cold over the decades, her daughter believes her father may have been involved in Lonene’s disappearance. Though Lonene’s husband has not been named a suspect in her case, she’s worked with a private investigator to find out new details about her mother’s case. She’s also pushing for a law advocating for families whose loved ones are missing. We’ve enlisted the help of a sign language interpreter to help make sure this case and story reach the deaf community. This week, Marni spoke with Lonene’s daughter about her mother’s disappearance and how she took her tragedy and is using it to help others as a teacher and advocate for families whose loved ones are missing.
