Hello everyone, this time we'll be repairing an Iseki tractor that's completely unable to reach high speeds on the road. In the previous video, we separated the cabin and transmission. This time, we'll check the condition of the HI-LO clutch inside the transmission. Since we need to remove the clutch housing, we'll remove accessories such as the fuel tank, then lift and disassemble the clutch housing. Upon disassembling the HI-LO clutch at the back, we found no wear on the clutch plates. However, there seemed to be a hydraulic leak in the piston's hydraulic ring, so we replaced the hydraulic seal rings. For the main clutch, we replaced all three friction plates with new ones. The manufacturer recommended replacing the entire clutch assembly, but since the parts cost around 130,000 yen, we opted for partial replacement after disassembly. We also replaced the crankshaft seal on the rear side of the engine as a preventative measure. The original seal wasn't properly seated, suggesting it had been replaced before. We reassembled the engine and transmission, and reinstalled the wiring, coolant hoses, and cabin air conditioning. When adding transmission oil, remove the air bleed plug on the pump to allow the oil to circulate throughout the transmission. Failure to do so can cause the transmission to seize up. During the test drive, the ride felt completely different from before. From starting to low speeds, high speeds, and reverse, I felt about three times more powerful. While I suspect the main cause of this malfunction was main clutch slippage, being able to check the condition of the HI-LO clutch, and replacing the piston and oil passage seal rings, also likely had a significant impact.
