Angkor Wat Is HUGE - But There's 1,000+ Temples You Never Hear About! 🇰🇭 (Part 2)

Most people think of Angkor Wat as a single temple, but the reality is far more impressive. The wider Angkor complex contains over 1,000 temples and ruins, making it one of the greatest archaeological sites on Earth. In Part 2 of my four-part cycling adventure through Angkor, the plan was simple: rent bicycles in Siem Reap and head for the famous Ta Prohm (the "Tomb Raider" jungle temple). Instead, we kept getting distracted by incredible ancient ruins along the way. Our first stop is Prasat Kravan, a smaller temple that immediately reveals just how many hidden sites are scattered throughout the complex. We then continue to Banteay Kdei, where an impressive entrance, towering stone faces, and colonies of bats roosting in the ceilings make for an unforgettable visit. After exploring in the Cambodian heat, we stop for lunch and enjoy enormous sandwiches while chickens roam around looking for scraps before continuing our bicycle journey through this vast UNESCO World Heritage Site.
