#Synthember2024 DAY 11, ARTURIA Day: "An 'ol man's soul" (MicroFreak - Chord Oscilator Jam)

#Synthember is a hashtag for an event month, that I created based on Cuckoo's #Jamuary. All videos in September will be tagged with this hashtag. Anyone who wants to jam can also use this hashtag. This is how we make the #Synthember better known. My motto for this year's #Synthember is: Make Music whenever you feel like it and you find the time. This year I have come up with a plan that won't overwhelm me but will provide you with plenty of jams. Monday is KORG day: Jams exclusively with KORG gear Wednesday is Arturia day: Jam exclusively with ARTURIA gear Friday is Mixed Up day: Everything else I have except KORG and Arturia gear The jams will usually be between 8 and 15 minutes long. There may be exceptions because I can't hold back. Forgive me. These rules are not set in stone but give me a guideline to follow. ##################################################################### First of all, a big thank you goes to my daughter Frieda (6), who conjured up these beautiful flowers with a heart for today's jam. Isn't that fantastic? The #synthember is almost over and I'm having the wildest ideas about what else I could show. But you can be sure that everything that didn't fit into the #synthember will be on my channel in one of the following months. Today is ARTURIA Day and who would have thought it. I decided to use the MicroFreak. But not with the basic wave oscillator as usual, but with something completely different. Today I picked out the chord oscillator. I showed it a long time ago because you can conjure up incredibly great sequences with it, as it contains many different sound shapes but also different octaves. And that is also the basis for today's jam. The octaves in the chord oscillator. Because like all functions in the oscillators, the octave button can also be manipulated via the matrix. Today, however, I stuck with a simple wave shape. Triangle. In the end, this means that I can raise and lower the octaves to the same extent with the triangle waveform. And I can also control the speed at which this should happen. This results in a nice effect when playing a sequence, namely an automatic transposition of the notes up and down, which you cannot create in any other way.
