Hollman Stars as Middlesex Seal Thriller Win at Chelmsford Luke Hollman was the star of the show, taking 4-21 with the ball before finishing 32 not out with the bat, sealing the win with a six with an over to spare. Naavya Sharma set the tone early, removing Michael Pepper and Paul Walter in the powerplay as Essex slipped to 33-3. Josh de Caires took a spectacular diving catch at square leg, before Hollman struck twice in three balls to remove Matt Critchley and Shane Snater. Essex were reduced to 69-8 in the 15th over, but Simon Harmer's remarkable career-best 56 not out from 28 balls, featuring three sixes and six fours, hauled the hosts to 142 in a record ninth-wicket stand of 73. In reply, Joe Cracknell and Hollman put on 52 from 44 balls to steady the chase after a few wobbles mid-innings, with Leus du Plooy contributing two swept sixes off Critchley. Hollman then launched Zaman Akhter over mid-off before sealing victory in style.
