Holden & Geddes fire Middlesex to Blast Win | Hampshire Hawks vs Middlesex | Vitality Blast 2026

Middlesex secured back-to-back Vitality Blast victories with a win over Hampshire Hawks at the Ageas Bowl, keeping their slim quarter-final hopes alive. Hampshire posted 159, with Toby Albert (46) and Ben Mayes (47) the top scorers. Albert and James Vince put on 60 for the first wicket before Middlesex's spinners struck to remove Vince, Weatherley and Albert in quick succession either side of the halfway mark. Mayes and Tristan Stubbs added a further 60 to drag the hosts to a competitive total on a slow pitch. Max Holden anchored the chase with 62 from 41 balls, sharing a steady partnership with Matt Boyle before Ben Neal took three wickets — including Boyle, Josh du Plooy and eventually Holden — to keep Hawks in the game. Ben Geddes provided crucial support alongside Holden, and Middlesex saw the remaining runs home to seal a four-wicket victory.
