Our Madeira Trip Ends Here...

Our final Madeira daily vlog! Day 9 :) We wake up in our rooftop tent for the very last morning with Jimmy the Jimny, our trusty 4x4 that’s taken us across mountains, beaches and hidden gems all over Madeira. Today is the day we finally get to SURF in Madeira! We check out the waves in Machico, but they’re not quite what we’re looking for… so we head back across the island to Porto da Cruz, one of Madeira’s best surf spots. And it does not disappoint! We catch some gnarly waves, enjoy the warm water and finally live out our dream of surfing in Portugal. After an epic surf session, we grab lunch with the most insane coastal views, watching giant waves crash against the rocks right beside us. The perfect post-surf moment. Then reality hits, after a quick car wash, it’s time to say goodbye to Jimmy the Jimny. Our Madeira road trip has officially come to an end. But before heading home, we visit the Madeira Airport viewing platform, where you can watch planes land at one of the sketchiest airports in Europe (and the world!). Seeing aircraft touch down on that iconic runway extension is wild. Finally, we board our flight home, ending an unforgettable adventure.
