Madeira Put Us to the Test…

Hey Guys! Day 4 of our Madeira daily vlogs! We kick off the morning in the mystical Fanal Forest, one of the island’s most iconic spots with ancient laurel trees, rolling fog and fairytale vibes — a must-see on any Madeira itinerary. After exploring the enchanted forest, we drop back down to sea level as Beth starts feeling a bit under the weather. So, today becomes an “admin day” on the road — from finding WiFi to doing a big Madeira food shop — but as always, we keep even the boring jobs fun while travelling full-time in our 4x4 Jimny with a rooftop tent. The day takes a magical turn when we arrive at what might be the best camp spot we’ve ever stayed at. Picture this: panoramic mountain views, the ocean right beside us, golden evening light, and a cosy BBQ dinner as the sun sets. A place that felt like a dream — the perfect reminder of why we love travelling Madeira by car. We end the night tucked up in our rooftop tent, ready for a fun-packed day tomorrow as we continue road-tripping Madeira’s hidden gems, scenic viewpoints and incredible camping spots.
