Starting Over at 24 | The Mental Battle is Getting Worse

Today was the first day my body actually started feeling better… but my mind had other plans. I finally got the best sleep I’ve had since quitting alcohol, got a workout in, reorganized my apartment, and physically felt like I was making progress. But mentally? This was my toughest day yet. The cravings hit hard in the afternoon, I realized one of my hobbies is actually a big trigger. I need to find something meaningful to do while everyone else is busy at work. I also ended the night realizing how much my mindset was going downhill Recovery isn’t just about feeling better physically. Sometimes your body heals before your mind does.
