1,000 Days Off Swimming.. The Perfect Taper For A Gravel Aquabike? The Dirty Yeti Triathlon.

Two weeks later and fresh off the heels of my USAT Gravel Duathlon 3rd place finish, my legs are still TRASHED from the post-COVID effort. I transferred my registration from Olympic (Long) Duathlon to Olympic Aquabike in order to avoid further damage to my lower extremities at Ohio's first gravel triathlon, the Dirty Yeti. Set in Salt Fork State Park in Lore City, OH, this event promises 100 feet of climbing for all 29 miles ridden during the bike course. I haven't swam over 100 consecutive meters in over three years, but can my Ironman muscle memory carry me through the swim well enough to jump onto the Aquabike podium? Take a ride with me and find out!
