The Cost of Choosing Dharma | No Fan. No Gas. No Future? | One Family's Story from Rajasthan | HSF

Bhagwanaram Ji and Baisadevi Ji came to India just 15 months ago with their 8 children, hoping for a safer and more dignified future rooted in Dharma. Today, they are living in a small hut home in Bheel Basti, Phalodi (Rajasthan), struggling with extreme poverty. The family has no gas connection, no fan, no cooler, and very limited resources to support their large family. Their 9th child is still in Pakistan, separated from the rest of the family. The challenges do not end there. Five young daughters are currently not attending school, and the elder boys, some as young as teenagers, are learning daily labour work to help keep the family afloat. This is not just the story of one family. It is a reminder that many vulnerable Hindu refugee families continue to struggle long after crossing the border.
