Zimbabwe passes bill to extend president’s term
Zanu-PF spokesperson Christopher Mutsvangwa says the country’s law allows for the amendment of the constitution without a public referendum. The country’s Lower House of Parliament passed a highly controversial constitutional amendment bill extending presidential and parliamentary terms from five to seven years.
