Conference on March 18, 2026 in an Immersive Room Speaker: Sylvain Gregori Presentation: The question of Corsica during the Second World War has raised numerous questions and has been subject to manipulation and amnesia. Myths have also been developed. The historian's role is to analyze this topic on a scientific basis, drawing on archival research, testimonies, and contextualization. Sylvain Gregori holds a doctorate in contemporary history, is the director of the Bastia Museum, and an associate researcher at the Center for Modern and Contemporary Mediterranean Studies. Following up on his research for his dissertation, "Between Continuity and Rupture: Resistance(s) and Corsican Society (July 1940-September 1943)," the author has just published "A New History of the Resistance in Corsica," a two-volume work that sheds new light on this period.
