Solo Hiking the Cape Chignecto Coastal Trail | Nova Scotia

This 52km coastal hike along the Bay of Fundy holds some of the most amazing views the maritimes has to offer. It reminds me a lot of the Fundy Footpath in New Brunswick, but a fair amount more tame in regard to the amount of hills (mind you there are a handful of those signature heart racing hills!). In fact you can see the cliffs of the Fundy Footpath directly across the Bay on the western part of the hike. There was plenty of wildlife along the trail and I had the pleasure of spending 15 minutes alongside a Barred Owl who I would not have seen had I not been jogging by spooking it to another tree, which after 10km was a pleasant break and a very uplifting experience to relax, observe and film such a beautiful and unique bird.
