Cycling New Zealand - Episode 5 - South West North Island
Welcome to episode 5 of my cycle from Auckland to Christchurch. In this episode I decide to keep off the Kennet Brothers route as I am still suffering from the virus and another bazillion feet in the mountains just would be NO FUN. I am here for a cycling holiday - not a route march. As a result I spend more time on the main roads travelling south from Whanganui to Wellington. And whils this takes me to towns and places not normally visited by tour cyclists I have the issue of mixing it with some of the incompetent drivers on New Zealands roads. I also wrote about my journey in my blog which can be found at: https://fat-bloke-on-a-bike.blogspot.... Specifically these entries cover this leg of the journey, here in chronological order.. https://fat-bloke-on-a-bike.blogspot.... https://fat-bloke-on-a-bike.blogspot.... https://fat-bloke-on-a-bike.blogspot.... https://fat-bloke-on-a-bike.blogspot....
