🇳🇱 Everyone Braved The Freezing Cold To See This Train: CABVIEW Leiden - Utrecht 3/1/2026

There's a beautiful layer of snow in the Netherlands, and despite the cold, many photographers are lining the line. They're all trying to capture a beautiful winter photo of the Oliebollenrit (Dutch Doughnut Ride)! This train ride is organized annually by the NVBS, the Dutch Association of Rail and Tram Enthusiasts. It's pulled by locomotive 1831, which was given a modified blue livery to commemorate the NVBS's 95th anniversary and bears the number 1931, the year the association was founded. Today is Sunday, January 4, 2026. Climb aboard and ride with me on train series 6700. Along the way, we'll stop at Lammenschans, Alphen aan den Rijn, Bodegraven, and Woerden. Enjoy! Er ligt een mooie laag sneeuw in Nederland en ondanks de kou staan er weer heel veel fotografen langs de lijn. Ze proberen allemaal een prachtige winterse foto te maken van de Oliebollenrit!
