Honeyed pumpkin using the traditional method... we start by cutting pumpkins from our own harvest. This year it was very surprising because the fruit was very large and of high quality. Then we move on to cleaning, slicing, and removing the seeds. It's important to wash all the cuts and remove any impurities... my favorite part is adding all the ingredients, such as piloncillo, sugar, salt, and water. When placing it on the stove, it's necessary to use the pumpkin leaves to cover and allow them to evaporate, in order to obtain a good honeyed texture... the process normally takes 3 hours of cooking, and this way we obtain a high-quality product, like what you'll see in this content...
