Sometimes, a moment of awareness can change everything! Take care of yourself! Introduction: 0:00 - 1:50 Feeling of being out of step: 1:50 - 2:24 Brain fatigue: 2:24 - 3:00 Hypersensitivity: 3:00 - 3:58 Conclusion: 3:58 - 6:50 Gifted individuals, or high potentials, often feel out of step with a large part of their entourage, even those closest to them. They often feel helpless and a little alone in the world. It's true that gifted individuals represent only 2% of the population, but at the same time, high potentials tend to attract and recognize each other, without realizing it. The first problem that only gifted individuals can understand is the feeling of being constantly out of step and living like an alien on a planet that isn't their own, with the associated fatigue of overadaptation. This feeling of being out of step will disrupt social and professional adjustment and often disrupt school life. The second problem that only a gifted person can understand is the fatigue caused by their constantly turbulent, almost bulimic brain, and this difficulty in prioritizing information that regularly saturates them without being able to do without it. This mental hyperactivity can become a problem in daily life; it can be a source of stress, burnout, and anxiety. Gifted people often feel like they are slaves to their brain. The third problem that only a gifted person can understand is hypersensitivity, which makes them react at the drop of a hat. This is the result of their brain's over-processing of both sensory and emotional states. This hypersensitivity can frighten a gifted person because it can quickly overwhelm them or sometimes put them in delicate situations. To cope with this hypersensitivity, some high-potential individuals voluntarily cut themselves off from their emotions and live in their heads, repressing them, but at the same time, the needs that go with them, which can sometimes be a problem. Other high-potential individuals are completely overwhelmed by their emotions, which evolve in a completely anarchic manner; it's almost as if the last emotion to speak is right. And the high-potential individual's life seems to be controlled exclusively by the emotion of the moment, which they try to cope with as best they can. Like any new discovery, the high-potential individual's new identity requires follow-up with a psychologist specializing in high-potential individuals, who can help them learn this particular language of high-potential individuals to better communicate with themselves, better communicate with others, and enrich their lives.
